Getting error trying to run modpacks

I installed the Ftb exe from the website, tried to install it and got this error:

I've been playing the modpack for a few weeks now and just encountered a problem today.

FTBLaunch starting up (version 1.2.2)

[edit] For S&G's I just deleted the old FTB.exe and downloaded a new one. Coincidentally, it's working now. Maybe they had a little outage, maybe my exe corrupted. Either way. I'm off to play.

It's most likely either your firewall blocking access or as Tolderian said, it may have been do to a server outage. I'm assuming it's a firewall issue though because if it were able to connect it would've probably shown the http response code rather than just saying permission denied. I don't know how to resolve this since I don't use windows or a firewall but in case someone does know how to, that's probably the issue.
