Im rather confused about the out put from a geothermal generator. I have lava being pumped into the generator and it will charge if i place an item in the generator. But if i add copper cable or gold cable (uninsulated) and run that to a batbox the batbox never sees the input and never recharges. The bat box is about 15-20 block away is that the problem or something else? Thanks

you shouldnt use copper for anything more then 5 blocks and never use gold cable unless its MV is the geo connected to the correct side of the batbox? the dot is output and rest are input

Sounds like something is miswired (BTW, copper cable is your best choice in that scenario). Remember a batbox accepts power through all the faces that DON'T have a dot on them. A screenshot would probably help if that's not the problem.[DOUBLEPOST=1360337366][/DOUBLEPOST]

Copper loses 1 EU per 5 blocks - he'll lose a bit of power, but the batbox should still charge.

that is why i asked if its connected to correct side and for EU loss i hate looseing EU so i was stateing that he will have loss this can be circumvented by adding more batboxes

I can get a screen shot when i get home from work. What do you mean by mv? Yes it is connected to the bottom of the batbox and i see the dot above. I have the wiring coming out of the left side of the geothermal generator. Should i try a different cable?[DOUBLEPOST=1360347622][/DOUBLEPOST]maybe i should do geothermal->batbox->cable>batbox>elec furnace? would that maybe work better?

that would work good and would give a nice 80k eu buffer on the 2 batboxes MV is 128 eu/t same as what is outputted from a MFE batboxes are 32 eu/t so there LV almost all machines are LV inputting any higher cause them to explode
