Hello everyone,
i am currently building my ReactorCraft Fusion reactor. It is by now complete aside for the water supply. I am thinking of the best way to provide A LOT of water to the steam boilers (132 of them).

What do you guys think ?

Aqueous accumulators maybe ?
Or rotarycraft pumps with 3x3 source blocks of water underneath + dc engine.
Or even some higher power delivery to the pump.

I'd like to know what you can recommend, maybe some of you did that already.

Aqueous accumulators are good for most things, but stuff like reactors you'll need a dozen or more of them working together just to keep up.

Rotarycraft pumps are good but it does remove the source blocks quicker than fluid mechanics can keep up, assuming you are supplying enough speed.

Extra utilities liquid transfer nodes work like an aqueous accumulator and you can upgrade them to be crazy fast.

Thanks for the fast replies. I found Reikas video and built if, but i dont get how the transfer node is pickung up the water just from a source block. I also got the speed and mining upgrades installed in the nodes. For me it does not pump water from a source block, i have to supply some kind of tank with water in it. But then i have my same problem again. Am i missing something ?

EDIT:
Ok i already got it fixed. Turned out that the block underneath the node in order to be pick up water needs to be surrounded by 2 other source blocks of water.

As you have already discovered, a transfer node over an infinite water source is probably your best bet. I went looking for the answer to this for my AgS world, as I was working on High Oven steam power (tinker's steelworks). Unfortunately, transfer nodes are disabled in the AgS pack, otherwise that would have been perfect. I had to generate about 120 buckets of water in a little less than 3 seconds. I ended up spamming aqueous accumulators. I have about 40 of them producing water for me. There are very few options when it comes to generating large quantities of water in a short amount of time. Good luck on your build.

or just use the big reactor steam turbine and reuse the waste water

That won't be anywhere near enough for a fusion reactor, and is just a waste of additional resources since the fusion reactor will output so much more power.

An odd little trick I found is to place a Factorization water boiler over an infinite source and slap an RoC suction pipe to it. No mirrors needed. Not sure how it stacks against Aqueous Accumulators.

Anyone serious about them selves would supply the water by squeezing Watery Propolis from the bees of the Aquatic Branch!

:p
Haha I actually do that in my current AS world. I don't actively cool my reactors though, so I can get away with a few bee's. ;-)

Same for Milk, got rid of my cows and just used the bee's for it.

I would guess that Binnie doesn't have vacation from Uni yet. As far as I understand he only updates ExB during holidays.

don't quote me on this please.... because i am not gonna take the time to search for it on the interwebz, but I think I read a forum post somewhere that he was back and was working on things. :)

That's like "a friend of a friend of a friend told me...", so... yeah.
