Hi

Is there any way of making gates work with redstone energy conduit pipes? or is there the same thing for them?

Thanks

Gates on pipes detect things they're close to regardless of if they're part of the network :). So if you for example want to have a "has work" gate on a rolling machine and use that to control the conduits, then you can just stick the gate on a pipe and use some wiring to power a RS cell.

Ah thats what u mean. I may have Not properly read it.
You could also go Crazy. Take an Engineering turtle and write some Coding to shut the power supply when needed :D

Redstone Energy cells CAN be. As with most (if not all?) Thermal expansion machines, there is configuration options for the effect of redstone.

Just be aware that energy conduit have a flat 5% energy loss so if you run conduit to a energy cell and then run more conduit after it you will have a 10% energy loss. As for conductive pipes their energy loss is distance based so the longer you run the pipes the higher the energy loss will be. Checking the wiki it appears that gold conductive pipes loss 0.5% of the energy each block traveled so it takes 10 blocks to equal the energy loss you get from the conduits. Which makes them superior for short runs in regard to energy loss but that is out weighed by the fact that they explode if they have no where to dump that power. This explosive tendency can be countered by using gates and only powering machines as needed which can be tricky at times.
