Game wont even download past the banner

Details of the issue:
I try to install the launcher and it will ask me to run it, then proceeds to do nothing.​

Going to assume windows: Check the event manager for errors. Try disabling your antivirus (or Windows equivalent). Update java and download a new launcher installer.
