So I'm in one of my mystcraft worlds. I've been in this world a few times now. Every now and then when I'm in the Nether or a myst world, my game will just completely shut down. No error messages or anything, just closes, then Mac OS tells me it ended abruptly. Usually it's no big deal, I just open it back up, it'll usually kick me once or twice more immediately after I load the game, but it always lets me play after 2 or 3 tries.
This time, I've loaded up the game about a dozen times now, and it will not let me play.
What it does is it will say "Logging In", then once I can see my hot bar and hand item, it will crash completely. It won't even show any of the world, just a black screen. It's only up for about a half a second.
This is my own server world, no other people are on it today (private server with only a few people), and I'm the only OP.

Thanks for the help

It's crashed about 25 times now. Each time now I'm getting about 2 frames before I die. I have managed to fall out of the sky, blow up, and sink to the ocean... two frames for each time I load it up, haha.

Well, my husband had an issue with a mystcraft age similar to that where it would crash every time he loaded it. He resolved the issue by going into the save file within FTB and deleting the mystcraft age. You lose the age(obviously) but you get teleported back to spawn point or it generates a new age for you(he can't remember which). Everything else (all other ages, nether and overworld) will be fine. As for the nether and etc. all I can suggest is adjusting your settings (lower particles, lower distance render, higher memory allocation). Hope it helps ^^
