Game seems to freeze when mobs spawn

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

I've got 2 suggestions for you:

Allocate a bit more ram, set it between 4-6gb (I'm assuming that you have at least 8gb in total).

Download and install the latest graphics driver for your card.

Make sure to select Advanced options/install and then check the box for Clean install.

This should be the latest driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/126903/en-us

After that, restart your computer and try again.

Post new logs if it still fails.

On the twitch launcher, open settings (either via the menu or press: CTRL + ,) - got to Minecraft and you'll find ram/memory allocation there. (don't give more than 6 - even if you got plenty to spare).

I did the reinstall already
Did you also do it with the selection of clean install? - otherwise do that as well, and the restart of your computer after.

Do you have any antivirus and/or other security software running on that machine?
(not counting built in the os ones)

Could you try and install the latest 64-bit java version 8 on your machine:
http://javadl.oracle.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=227552_e758a0de34e24606bca991d704f6dcbf

Then open settings on the Twitch launcher (via menu or use CTRL+,) - scroll down to Minecraft and change from native launcher to jar launcher and start the game again.

This will switch back to the old launcher and 1st time after doing this it might start vanilla instead of modded, just restart the game and it should work.

If/when windows firewall asks for permission for java - press OK to allow that.

Then try again and post new log if it still fails.
