I'm sure you've heard a lot of people complaining about their game crashing when they join a server. I'm one of them.
*THIS THREAD WAS POSTED RIGHT AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING
I don't know what the problem is.
He's the FTB console script: http://pastebin.com/U8RXXneA
And here is the error from the 'crash-reports' folder: http://pastebin.com/qKSk8bTN
Please tell me what can I do :( I get this problem in like 75% of the times. The other 25% is working fine.
I've already deleted the FTB folder and the one in the 'Roaming' folder of the ftblauncher and I don't know what to do.
Please someone help me.

My uneducated guess would be that you have more than 1 java version installed. if not, i hope that someone else can help you.

Your anti virus might be the problem aswell, but as it does not happen all the time, it's probably not that.

First, do this to rule out ANYTHING that could be wrong with your setup:
Please follow these steps exactly: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/9/0/basic-troubleshooting
This is to rule out any issues with your setup.

If you continue to have trouble, please post your complete client-side (launcher) console log in debug-mode to pastebin.com and link your paste URL here.
To find your logs and prevent them from expiring: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/inde...29/1/what-log-do-you-need-where-can-i-find-it

The server has been working for a while now (meaning I could log into it without crashing right upon joining), but I'm lagging (NOT FPS LAGS) a lot and I think the troubleshoot is responsible for it. I found out that what gave me all the trouble was the Voxel minimap, so once I disabled it, I could log into the server, but that was only after I reinstalled Java. Since then I'm horribly lagging on each server I log into (including Vanilla). Is there anything I can do about it?
1) I have the latest version of Java installed (J7U21).
2) I have AVG anti virus - tried disabling it - didn't work.
3) I added the launcher to the firewall exceptions so I don't think that's the case.
4) My internet connection is fine as I was talking in Skype while lagging horribly so if it was a connection problem, Skype would've been affected either.
5) Yes, I have troubleshooted and no, it didn't work.
6) I'm not the host of the server so it's not a server problem. I'm almost certain the problem is with Java because after I lagged out (crashed because of lag) it didn't show me a console error, but something like internal exception java.net.socketexception software caused connection abort recv failed".
Maybe that ^^^ can help you figure out what's wrong.
I hope you can help me because FTB was the whole reason for why I bought Minecraft in the first place....
Please reply.

I did. Please watch the first post in this thread.

I asked you to follow my steps then provide a log.
I understand you said you completed the steps already, and that you already provided a log.
Your console log is not a valid paste any longer. The crash report is pretty well and useless without it.

AVG is blocking proper installation.
You are likely in the category that is described in the first bullet under the "Other Useful Info" area at the bottom of the troubleshooting guide.

I have tried temporarily disabling AVG, and my firewall, as I've noted already before, but that didn't work. And I tried disabling it and only then download the launcher and install everything, yet it's still not working right. Sometimes I manage to join the server properly, but then I just lag horribly (block lag - not FPS) until my game crashes. I'm sorry for any trouble I'm causing.

I have tried temporarily disabling AVG

Other USEFUL information:
  • Certain antivirus' (AVG, McAfee, Norton) do not like to be turned off for any reason. Your antivirus may have a timed "Temporary Disable" setting, and you may need to use this setting to download the launcher and/or any modpacks. Though we do no recommend it, you may need to completely uninstall some antivirus' to get them to work.

And after I get it to work, can I install them again? There's no way I'm leaving my computer unprotected.

Probably not, you'll likely continue to encounter issues.
Use avast! free antivirus. I've never had a problem with it and it's free.
