Mac Game crashes on start up

When I start the game from the launcher, it starts up, the mojang screen comes up, the FTB animated logo pops up, then the screen minimizes to launcher size, goes black and then disappears. I can't seem to find a crash log.

This started out as it would all load, the game would load, the menue would come up and when I started a world, it just locked up. It has regressed to this point.

I have had some great help from booker, but wee seem to be at a stand still. I have submitted two tickest for the two issues to the help desk support sight and had no response at all.

Anyone have any ideas here?

I know its free, I know they volunteer , however it is still very frustrating. I know we have been waiting so long to play the ultimate pack, then when it comes, I got to sort of taste it and then boom, nothing.

Can anyone help me here?

FTB is incompatiable with Java 7 so im guessing you updated?

I have tried a number of different things. I tried what Booker said .....

1. Could you please update your Java to the one listed HERE
2. Download the latest stable LWJGL HERE (It's called "lwjgl-2.8.5.zip"
3. Follow the directions HERE to manually update LWJGL

It no worky, I tried the java link from minecraftforums, and it no worky.
At this point, my vanilla works just fine, but the modded does not work.

So some more steps for you.... (Sorry about all of this back and forth)

1. Backup any saves you want
2. Remove everything FTB and Minecraft related
3. (Uninstall the I had you install before... sorry it did not work)
4. Follow the step in my sig to update Java for your OS
5. Follow the steps to re-enable Java for apps
6. Re-download ftb.... etc etc etc.....

It should work. (I hope)

Hey Booker, no worries bro, honestly, I truly appreciate you sticking with me!!!

OK, so I have been able to get the launcher to work again by basically doing what you said above. I was able to get the java 6 plug in working again and I re-downloaded etc etc, and I can play direwolf20 modpack, but when I try the ultimate mod pack I am back to where I was with the game locking up on world gen. I let it go for 10 minutes or so and it just gets stuck at the converting world page.
Booker, I tried what you had me do and at that point it was total failure. It was at that point that I was unable to even get the launcher to work, and in order for me to get the launcher to work I am pasting this in the terminal and hitting enter

export JAVA_HOME=/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home
cd ~/Desktop/ftb/
export JAVA_HOME=/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home
java -jar FTB_Launcher.jar

So, back to square one, working but no Ultimate, DOH!!!!

I think I am coming to the conclusion (Sad face) that if you are on MAC OS X 10.8.x or above, there is some reason with java you are going to have a very hard time playing minecraft at all with mods. This is a problem with APPLE/ORACLE/LWGJL.... They are going to have to do something cause Apple/Oracle broke java 7 on that OS...

That may be the case. It seems to me that there is a particukar mod in the ultimate pack that is not playiong nice, sine I am playing the DW20 pack with no issues. I will wait for an update, and just go from there. I did submit a ticket when this first started, I have heard nothing in the last 4 or 5 days
