Game crashes on joining own server

If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Details of the issue:
The game crashes whenever I join the server. My character is currently in the nether on a stone platform just above a lake of lava, I've attempted to join 10 or 11 times now and nothings working.​
