Title game crash after update

Details of the issue i recently updated to the new .14 stable update and now my main world crashes. so i downgraded back to .13 and still crashing. i have tryed to use my back up it made me when i tryed to load the game after the update (it told me that i would loose items that were no longer in the pack so it will make a back up) but i t still crashes. i then tryed a 2nd back up folder i found and still no luck. i was wondering if maybe i am doing the back up wrong or if my save is now gone forever. please helps ><
