Which modpack you suggest for someone that wanna wear futuristic armor (warhammer40k/ironman/mecha), minerals, laser weapons, with some futuristic mobs and world too?

Sadly, what you are looking for is probably the single most lacking area in all of modded MC. It's a shame, too.

I GUESS PowerSuits qualifies and IC2 has the Mining Laser but IC2 is kinda modern-age stuff.

I agree. As far as genres of mods go, there seem to be more medieval, steam-punk, and fantasy mod devs than there seem to be 'futuristic' mod devs.

MFFS is the only thing that comes to mind as being slightly futuristic. As @MigukNamja said, it is one area that is lacking in devs.

Xycraft is supposed to have armor in it eventually. I expect it'll be old fashioned by the time it actually gets updated though.

Oh it's not much but the ore spawn mod has laser guns

I see ore spawn mod have tons of things, cool, just wondering if this mod will work with direwolf20 :/

I'm not aware of any major compatibility issues. Wile it adds a lot of stuff it's all kind of simple from a programing point of view. No complex systems added on. You might have to play wit the configs if ID's overlap.
Be sure to check out the websight or you might miss major features. I had no idea it added other dimensions until I read it.
Oh and read those dimension descriptions thoroughly. One of it will empty your inventory and armor on arrival. You can take things out but not in.
Last thing. Have a go at Mobzilla in a creative test world. Even with a diamond sword with cheated enchantments it's unbeatable. It requiers a +500 sword to do the job. :D
And if you do test it remember the Morph mod. :D

Erm, I find that theres more "industrial revolution-esq" mods than magic mods, which is a shame because I like casting spells and destroying my friends' souls.

I'm pretty sure Ars and Witchery support and encourage such nefariousness. Blood Magic might also.

But, yes, in general, more industrial/tech than Magic, at least in mainstream modpacks.

There also used to be only two real magic mods: Thaumcraft, and Ars, and only more recently the ladder one. There has been a boom in magic mods, probably because more mod devs are having fun with making magic-based mods than industrial ones, and also because industrial mods... there isn't much room for improvement/growth, since a lot of the major ideas have already been generated.

But just because you can go with the idea of "Magic does EVERYTHING!!!" you still have to have a solid idea unless you want your wand to just sizzle into a big ol' pile of turd.

Yeah i've see a bunch of industrial craft, but i really don't know how to get started, alot mods doesn't have a tutorial like "The first item you have to build is this because you can do that which is needed for this", i see there are plenty youtubers but really i can't watch a 40min episode to learn how do 2 things, wikia it's kinda empty too.
I would just love make my high tech base, mining alot of glowy minerals and make my lasers, my badass armor that can make me fly, or run more fast or something (Yeah, i watched power suits but its really hard to learn all those things without a REALLY good tutorial that doesn't need 20 days of your life) and go to explore futuristic dungeons with creepy monsters.
I'm not saying that i want a casual game but really, i don't have the time to study how to work a nuclear reactor, and since im italian it's harder too because i understand the written english, but sometimes i get lost on listening!

Modular Power Suits is a really easy mod to use. There are only a couple of steps.
Step 1: Make the Armor Tinker Table (needs an emerald) to tinker with your armor.
Step 2: Make your pieces of armor.
Step 3: Look at your armor pieces in the Tinker Table and decide which upgrades you want.
Step 4: Make the upgrades necessary.
Step 5: Install your upgrades. If you do sprint and jump upgrades, boost Compensation to max as you would lose crazy stamina otherwise. With everything else, boost to your personal preference.
If you don't know what a module does, experiment with it and see which ones you like. I personally use only the fall damage negater, jet boots, jetpack, sprint assist, jump assist, water traveling thruster, uphill step assist, water electrolyzer, and night vision. Of course with diamond plating as it's a pain to make force field emitters. Minimum investment but is super functional.
As a note, you can press "K" and reach a page where you can bind your keys with different MPS modules to turn them on and off, so you can turn off night vision when you don't want it. Also, reaching above, I believe 28k will weigh you down, but just shift up the sprinting assist module stuff and you're golden.
As a note, there are different recipes for MPS, so you can choose which one you want. Just scroll through the Shaped Crafting's or go through the configs and enable / disable which ones you want.
Zero learning curve, gives you OP armor, and is awesome. Nice.

Those things should be writting on a "Modpack guide" so dumb people like me can learn it too!
Thanks anyway, i just started playing with Direwolf20 Modpack and already did few things i have TONS of minerals and its getting nice playing with it, the hard part would be the nuclear reactor, tinkering and the automatic farm!
I'm the one type of the player that don't wanna make a 1:1 copy but i want to understand the functions of a thing so i can make something original!
