Heya! I've been playing FTB Trident and I've noticed that ender chests and tesseracts have been acting weird. Has anyone else had this problem? I need it for one of my builds and its getting to be annoying.

sorry, my mistake, basically have two ender chests, same color code and everything, and they just would not... connect if you know what i mean. Also, tesseracts will not transfer power and items and such, its all very strange but its annoying because i have to use a crazy amount of piping to get stuff around(for a secret base its pretty large)
Quick note, how did you get the chests? If you crafted both by hand, ignore this.
Something that I noticed while playing TolkeinCraft was that some of the reward chests had the diamond on the lock (making their combination private to the person that placed the diamond), which means that only the person that did that can make a connecting ender-chest.
If that's the case, then you can't make a connecting chest (unless you have another chest, privatised by the same person), but you can, for example, link a pouch to it.

Well all i'm trying to do is put items in one ender chest, and have them imported to ME, over about 100 blocks. cabling is no fun to run over that distance
... that doesn't answer the question I asked. Did you make the ender chests yourself, or get them as a reward/stolen from someone else/etc.?
no completely hand crafted using applied energistics, if that makes a difference. its not that i can't access the ender chest, its just that once i put an item in one, it doesn't show up in the other to pull out

Vanilla Ender Chests need to be tied to a player in order to function. If AE automation produced them are they tied to a player?
well what i meant was that i crafted them myself using a crafting term, and not sure if that affected anything

To OP, I'm aware that it seems like sucking eggs a little, but it's easiest to go back from basics first. My advice would be to break both, and see if they stack (if the inventories are linked, they should do).
If all is well on that front, it might be worthwhile placing just one down, and seeing what happens to items. It might be that someone else on the server has the same combination and is (intentionally or unintentionally) stealing all the items you place down.
i feel so stupid now, i've been playing modded minecraft so long that i forgot vanilla ender chests existed! I meant the special ones that can be color coded, I forget the mod name. Sorry for making such a newbish mistake

Ive crafted many Ender Chests at ME terminals and never had a problem. You should try adding a diamond to the locks to make them private.
