That was pretty interesting, didn't know it was possible that way. Let me know when they put out the video of the tutorial for it!
 
Very cool. I made one with Redpower Frames and Deployers a few days ago. Also using forcefields to contain and kill it.

Impressive, but a bit inefficient looking :3 the wither is precisely 4 blocks tall, 1 block wide and long. But so long as it does what it's supposed to who cares lol.
 
Hmm I always sort of assumed it was 3x3x3, since that's how big the structure is. Good to know - if for nothing else, a smaller containment field needs less energy to run.
 
I was wondering when someone was going to use MFFS for wither killing. Kudos for getting a turtle to make it for you to fully automate the process.

I got kind of sidetracked a little bit so the explanation is not great cause I ran out of time. If you have any questions, just ask!
 
Can't wait to eventually get that kind of thing going. just spent about 6 hours on a blaze farm - after about 10 minutes of waiting I got over 100 in a small area and punched em all to death to help fill my soul shard :X

What would be really interesting is if someone killed enough of the wither to make a spawner out of those :X
 
Sorry, I meant as far as I know. I tested it in creative and from what I remember its not possible. So if anyone can find a way to get some of the weird spawners, or peaceful mob spawners, let us know!

I dont think anyones world or auto wither-killer can survive up to 4 withers per 2 seconds....yet

Ooooh, I don't know, a npc killer mffs covered in warded stone covered in tesla coils should kill everything.

The question is how to pick up the loot :D.
 
Obsidian Pipes with engines attatched?
And you'll need a TONNE of tesla coils to kill them quickly enough.
 
Actually, I just realized, All you need to kill any amount of withers and pick up the loot as well is a very tall npc killer mffs. Withers float down gently and if you build it tall enough, then they will be dead before they have a chance to destroy the obsidian pipes / transposers / whatever. This also means that they wouldn't destroy the spawner when they spawn.

Too bad it's all theorycrafting :).
