I got it running! I used teh tutorial that can be found here:

to set up my first one XD If it wasnt for these tutorials I'd never know what was even possible in this mod-pack!

Not bad, although it's even easier to automate than that. However, those sorts of farms are going away. In fact, as of 1.4.7, or maybe one of the early 1.5.x updates, they were officially removed.
