Fuel missing from Infinity Mystcraft?

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster. I recently upgraded from 1.3.4 to 1.6.0 and I found something rather disturbing. Most of my mystcraft pages/symbols were replaced with question marks. After further digging into the config file, I found that most of the liquids are now gone too.

I wanted to ask before I start making accusations, if this was intended (for maybe balance reasons) or if this happened by the creator of Mystcraft? Or is this a bug?

I've tried searching but didn't come up with anything. If I missed this already being addressed, I'm very sorry for the dupe.
 
It's intentional, but on the Mystcraft forums you can find altered config files that reactivate liquid pages that mod authors have requested removed.
