That's what we thought. You can either downgrade to Java version 6 or upgrade your lwjgl. If you choose to downgrade read this. If you choose to upgrade your lwjgl then follow this guide and substitute any references to .minecraft for your mod pack folder instead. If you choose to upgrade your lwjgl you will have to do it for each mod pack you wish to use as each mod pack has its own lwjgl files.

Now I will not make a new topic for this.

Sinse Minecraft got updated I have not been able to run FTB, heck, I been having the problem sinse Java got updated...
Atlough I did find away around the Java part with konsol codes.

But now, with the latest edition of MC out I have not been able to start FTB.
I tried changing lwjgl, but I crashed.

Now I can still use konsol codes to start FTB up, but then I am also setting MC back, so I am not playing with the new updates.

I could downgrade Java to 6, if not I needed Java for a lot of my daily internet use. And that needs to be java7 or my mac will not run it... tsk tsk..

So, do we have another alternativ? Or am I stuck in playing MC in outdated version?

You are stuck playing MC in an outdated version of Java, unfortunately. Though I believe you can have both versions installed.

It is not recommended, but as long as the launcher only uses Java 6 and not Java 7 it should be possible. The problem is keeping the launcher from trying to use Java 7. I do not have a Mac so I'm not sure how possible this is.

I do hope you mean Java 7. If you meant Java 8 it is not supported as of yet since it is still in beta. Also when you updated the lwjgl you have to update it inside each of the mod pack folders and not the vanilla instance. Unless you plan on playing vanilla as well then you need to do it there as well. Each mod pack contains its own lwjgl files. Hope that helps.

if u can i suggest using magic launcher as u can tell it what version of version of java to use and where its located, also it can import modpacks from the FTB folder

@Lavarthan
I changed the lwjgl in both the application for Minecraft AND the application for the mod I am useing. In this case Dire20. Still I have it crash on me.
But for me it's only a "luxus" problem. I can run FTB just fine, as long I run it though consol commands.
If I try to use the FTB launcher directly, it crashes short after the FTB logo have run.
