It's a sad day. After 12 hours trying get it workings I'm here :/ I watched every YouTube video, read every tutorial, and can't get it to function one bit. I know im probably missing a minor detail, so I have high hopes.

In short when I followed the instructions and start the server, it doesn't run anything. It just give me Error: Failed to find Cauldron

Here are the steps I followed.

1 download the monster server and extract it to a new folder.

2 download cauldron from the installer to the created new folder(same place I put the extracted files from the monster server).

3 now all I've done was add the cauldron.jar, a minecraftserver.jar, and a folder to the ftb monsterserver
folder.

4 At this point I'm told to do one of two things. One I can open the start server.bat file with note pad and change the part that says ftbserver to the exact name of the cauldron file. Or I could rename the already made ftbserver file to that of the cauldron one.

None of this worked. I can't get the startserver.bat file to understand cauldron exists in the folder. And since I changed the name of the ftbserver file, the startserver.bat doesn't understand ftb exists.

Thanks for the input. I understand I have to get the latest version of opis, and mobus, but I haven't even got to that part. I can't get past the middle of this process.

I'm stuck in the part where ftb is supposed to acknowledge and understand that cauldron is running instead of forge. When I start the server I only get one paragraph. Within it it says Error: Failed to find cauldron.jar.

I'm going to have to try new method. That method being FTP and filezilla.

I don't understand how changing any file names would make a difference whatsoever, and I guess I'm to dumb to understand the tutorial on the cauldron page.

Success! I got it to work perfectly.
Turns out I was attempting to add cauldron to my already existing server, instead of a fresh one. I just copied the world from my old server to my new one once I was done. Ill type what I did for anyone else.

1 Download the ftb server.
2 Download the cauldron launcher that's the same version of your ftb. Mine was 1.6.4
3 Extract the ftb server to a new folder.
4 Open the cauldron launcher and click install server. Then save it to the same folder as your fresh new ftb server.
5 Open the new folder and delete the file that says FTBServer-1.6.4-965
6 Now chose to edit the serverstart file, and change the part that says FTBServer-1.6.4-965 to cauldron-1.6.4-1.965.21.164-server
7 Be sure to keep the .jar at the end when you change the FTBServer-1.6.4-965 text.
8 Run server

If your running monster, obviously go to the mod folder and remove the disabled text from the names of each mod you use. I also downloaded MobiusCore_1.2.2_1.6.4 and replaced the old version under mods.

To use your old world just replace world folders once you get the new server up and running.

I also installed essentials and essentials group, and finally configured those to. I've never programmed anything in my life so I'm amazed at my small amount of skill. *Happy dance*
