FTB....WHY?

You have an FTB install that isn't clean FTB. try adding any additional mods one at a time until you get a crash, and that last one is your problem.

    I believe this is the problem here, don't know what it is trying to put in there but I think that is the problem.

No sorry that isn't the error causing the crash that is an error which was present for the whole of the 1.4.2 version of IC2 (may be related to Gregtech but either way it's ignorable).
The actual error was a concurrentmodification error I can't really remember what caused it or even what I did to fix it but since the only non-FTB mod is optifine try either removing it or try the Standard version which I have had much greater stability and lack of issues from compared to the Ultra version. (I do vaguely recall that error was why I didn't run Optifine at all for most of the 1.4.2 version and have only reinstalled it for 1.4.5 I do believe that optifine was buggy as hell for most of the 1.4.2 block)

Yeah it wasn't a kick against you, conflicts are usually the problem but that one in particular is just some internal weirdness that is not a problem hence my mentioning it wasn't the error in question causing issues :P (there are also the 2 missing mod errors in the log, plugins for forestry and craftguide neither of which cause crashes but both of which are errors and were present for the entire 1.4.2 block :D)

So, what do i do? man..
 
Ah the second part of my post was basically "remove Optifine or install standard Optifine see if that fixes it" when reduced to the non-verbose version.

Soo get the 1.4.5 version? Because when i did that i got an error. o_O So, I took it out and it worked just a bit of lagg.
 
Assuming you are using the 1.4.2 pack, you need the 1.4.2 version of Optifine, just use the standard version rather than the ultra version as the ultra one is buggy. Also remember that it goes in the JAR mods section.

Alright didn't realize the Ultra mattered. I'll try it in a sec
 
Looking at the end of the log even with the "right" version of Optifine I would get a random crash saying that so have stopped using it.
 
Same happens to me.

Install Optifine = Strange bugs or even crashes.
No Optifine = No problems at all

Sorry m8, you might be one of those who can't use Optifine. :(

I found this in the crashlog. Don't know if it has anything to do with the crash, but Optifine might be chugging your memory too much.
 
Sit back and relax a while, and let me tell you a story...a sad story of OptiFine and how it loved sending me for unexpected visits to the desktop.

I had ugly nasty horrible frustrating insta-crashes for a while. These are the steps I attempted to fix it:

Clean install of Java 7.9 (I'm on PC). A very serious pain to get a proper clean install of Java 7.9 for 64-bit Windows 7. No fewer than 3 applications promising to fully and properly uninstall Java and all of its grubby little tendrils were tried until I finally found some obscure little app that got the job done. It was during this time that I learned Mozilla had abandoned support for 64-bit Firefox, meaning that when I updated Firefox to the latest version it actually reverted to a 32-bit application and the detection applet on the Sun/Oracle/whatever site where you download Java kept giving me 32-bit Java as a result. Eventually, I was the proud owner of a clean 64-bit Java 7.9 install and it did absolutely nothing for my problem.

After poking and prodding google for a while, I learned that perhaps I had gotten a wonky version of lwjgl (Light Weight Java Games Library, an integral part of Minecraft) so I found, downloaded, and installed the most recent version. Still no luck.

Ultimately I found myself on the OptiFine thread at the official MC forums where I was sadly not surprised to find that a dozen or more solutions had been presented and none of them worked.

And then, off in some far flung corner of the interwebs I found a glimmering little tidbit, the foretold solution and the key to my victory over the bitchy little nemesis that is OptiFine:

Launch FTB
Go to the Options menu from the main Minecraft screen.
Go to Video Settings
Find the option called "Chunk Loading"
Set it to anything that is NOT Multi-Core.

Also, if you have an nVidia GPU, go into your nVidia control panel and disable threaded optimization.
