FTB version - compatibility

I start word on version 1.0.1. But in last week team developed many updates....

Is it compatible (I am afraid of IDs compatibilty)? Is it save to update on last (1.1.2) version?

Why is in last version config for galacticraft & RPGcraft??

It was compatible for me when I switched, but backup your world just in case.
