FTB Unstable won't luanch

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

I've seen this error before. It has to do with opengl and displaying the splash screen for forge while it loads. But, I don't remember what the fix is.

Also, on a side note you should remove almost all of those java command line arguments. While I don't think they are causing this issue with Java 8 they aren't needed anymore. Java 8 made vast improvements to memory and garbage (GC) management.

Thanks for that, the post you point me at say I should alter ".minecraft" directory should this be different in the case of FTB.

umm what? Did OP edit link to log?

Code:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid dimension id -343800852
    at net.minecraft.world.DimensionType.func_186069_a(DimensionType.java:77) ~[atm.class:?]
    at net.minecraftforge.common.DimensionManager.registerDimension(DimensionManager.java:99) ~[DimensionManager.class:?]
    at lumien.randomthings.handler.ModDimensions.register(ModDimensions.java:13) ~[ModDimensions.class:?]
That caused the crash. Idk why. Did OP edit pack?

Don't think you can change the content of a pastebin once you've made it can you? Certainly I didn't.

Yesterday I was just about to post that I changed the splash screen setting and it made no difference, but at the same time realised I hadn't got rid of all those java settings/flags you said were no longer needed, so before posting a new crash report I got rid of them, loaded the pack up and .... was quite surprised to see everything now ran (and continues to run) perfectly well.

And no, the pack is as FTB supplied it, run from the FTB launcher.
