Hi....I'm very new to modded minecraft (as in the last couple of days new). Initially I tried Ultimate, and it worked the first time (after trying to launch it several times), but failed to launch the next day.

I then decided to try Unleashed to see if it was more stable. I got it started, and played for a while, and eventually closed the game. The next time I booted up my computer to play, it failed to start (after several tries). I tried the method in this thread http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/how-to-solve-your-own-issues-not-for-noobs.32555/. I eventually got the game to launch successfully, but once again, when I finished playing, left, and came back next time, it failed to launch.

So I found the basic troubleshooting guide, and have since attempted that twice, and both times failed to successfully launch the game.

So here is the log from the console: http://pastebin.com/weNDk85y

I know there are issues there (as shown by the red and maybe? yellow text). It's worth noting that the second time I got Unleashed to launch successfully, I had a couple of red lines (there seems to be a lot more now).

This is the the crash report http://pastebin.com/wP7QTjQJ

I'll try and provide any other information requested if it helps. I appreciate in advance any help people can offer me.

(And as a side note, while I'm here...the times I did get Unleashed to work, I tried to get sphax working, but any time I clicked it the game would freeze, do nothing and eventually crash. Anyone know steps to fix it?)

(The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open)
This is caused by another program keeping minecraft from accessing said file. More than likely it is your antivirus program being over zealous in its protection. Add the folder listed to the exclusions list of your antivirus program and check any boxes that say 'include sub-folders' The exact folder in your case is 'C:\Users\Cameron\Desktop\FTB\'

Thanks a lot mate...it worked first time with the file in the exception list.

I'll wait until it loads every time before I get too excited though...It's worked before before failing to work after that.

You wouldn't have any advice about the Sphax textures would you? My laptop is pretty high end...I've played around with the memory allocation to try and make the game accept it, it just doesn't want to.

Be sure you are getting it from here and also take note about the 'Error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1024:' error in the same link if you are using Optifine.

Optifine is not automatically included in any FTB packs because it breaks ALL the things. So you probably don't have it.

I don't know whether it was an incorrect combination of texture packs or whether it just couldn't handle 128, but I got it all up and running fine.

My game is now both sphaxy and functional :)

Thanks for the help.
