FTB Unleashed 1.1.3 Tree Breeding Questions

Hi,

So I just started a new world on FTB Unleashed 1.1.3 and have setup some apiaries with some trees around them. However there is no cross pollination taking place. I have done this before on other modpacks and earlier unleashed versions and it has worked but now for some reason it isn't working.

Ahaha. No I don't need them but I am definitely sure that there are no pollinated leaves.

You DO need them otherwise you cannot see the pollinated leaves, sorry if you thought my post was a joke but I was being serious.

Try a row of bee houses if you haven't yet, you may be shocked by how quickly pollination occurs. I think they're a 3x multiplier. They also extend the lifetime of bees so while you can't easily automate(perhaps not at all short of something with turtles) the bee houses they worth the effort. Since you have to come back and manually graft the leaves it is no big deal to go down the row of bee houses flipping princesses.

Uhh so are you saying that I should go buy a pair of glasses? Or is it an ingame thing that I need to change.

Search NEI for spectacles. They are added by the mod Forestry.

Ok I did that but still there are no pollinated leaves. The apiaries have been there for 7+ hours.

Spectacles are a headpiece item added by forestry, which enable the viewing of tree pollination. A good addition, as it stops forests looking quite so fugly after a bit of bee breeding.

You probably can't see them because of the modular power suits shader thing. Disable it in mmmPowersuits.cfg.

Oh, and lastly, you can see the blocks without spectacles. It is just very hard to detect them in comparison to the regular leaf blocks, purposely so. Most of them look like they have berries on them almost the same shade as the leaves, whereas the rest of the blocks won't have those barely detectable berries. Of course on a species that does have its own berries it is really rough, lol.

There is only one line with shader in it.
The graphics section is clearly labeled.

Ok I have done this but still the same as before. Can't see any new pollinated leaves.
