FTB Ultimate Players spawn in item's

So ive had my server up for about 3 mounts now and we are having a problem with players spawning in items some how. i know there is a client hack that lets them spawn items in game, but i have no clue how to stop it.

Also they seem to spawn in items and grief our spawn and its fully protected with towny, world guard and well server protection it self "essentials"

Are there any way to disable it so players can't spawn in items or grief the spawn? i herd they use nei and to disable it but we haven't found a way to do that. We also turn of the spawning of items in an area but they still seem to...

Why not just ban the people who are spawning in items?

Ive literally never heard of a client that lets a player just spawn in items as thats not possible, because that requires direct access to the console with a hacked client for that to work..... Just no. Unless im wrong that i sound like an asshole but yea.

there is its something thats in the nei that lets them and i do ban people that do but i cant keep looking at every player that logs in.

You can try disabling NEI serverside (doubtful that'll work). You can also use a plugin to make all the blocks at spawn "honey pots", which will auto ban anybody who breaks them.

towny and world guard themselves are not adequate griefprevention for a FTB server, there are dozens of items that can bypass it so its no surprise that you're having this issue, I would recommend you seek help through custom made plugins or try something like my town (I believe its that one that has FTB protection)

. As for spawning in items, there is no back door through NEI, if they are spawning in items then it is due to you giving them the permission node to do so. What permission plugin do you use? and in the default group is there anything like:

- '*'
- essentials.*
- essentials.give
- essentials.item (i think its that, it gives perms to /i)

All these perms will allow players to spawn in anything they want. Additionally check your NEI server config and ensure that item spawning is set to op only.

Lastly, the next time someone is spawning stuff in, I've found it can sometimes work out well to just talk to them, don't ban them until you've got them to tell you how they did it.
