I've been repeatedly trying to start up or create a world in FTB Ultimate, but I keep crashing. Here's a link to a Pastebin of my log. I would appreciate any feedback anyone can give me. Also, I'm using default texture pack with OptiFine_1.4.6_HD_U_D5 installed.

Uninstall that version of OptiFine and update to C5. D5 makes SSP unplayable.

I've seen several reporting a simulare issue on mac, but it might not be the same.
Try doing the fix for the mac problem and see if that helps.

Try adding -XX:MaxPermSize=128M under advanced options>additional java parameters under the options tab.

I'm having the same problem. Adding the permsize line to the java parameters and allocating 4gb of ram have not resolved it.
