FTB Ultimate Anniversary "PLEASE_CHANGE_ME" Error

My buddy is trying to connect to our server (currently 1.2.0) and is getting in incompatibility error. He has uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times now, his launcher shows him running the 1.2.0 client, but he keeps getting the attached error.

Any ideas? For the record I'm able to connect, and he was as well before the 1.2.0 update.
