I am playing on a server with some friends and have been trying to get the fluid pump from industrial foregoing to work.

I have a compact configuration and don't know why it is not working, I have also tested it out on a singleplayer world and it works fine.

I have also looked online for help and none of the solutions given have worked.

Please can someone help?

Just checking, but you have it over the top of lava right? I believe the machine needs to be on top of connected lava source blocks?

Yes the pump was directly above lava, and the filter had selected lava

Hi,

I've had problems with this Minecraft Industrial Foregoing Fluid Pump alot of times. The fluid pump either wont work or stopped working after running some blocks.
Here's my notes on "how to make sure the Industrial Foregoing fluid pump works for pumping LAVA".

Lava fluid pump:
  1. Won't work if there is a flowing block of lava within it's range (The whole range that the Range Addon gives acces to. Use the "Show working area button"). Remember that flowing lava can be below the surface if you have placed blocks and then removed them.
  2. Will take all the way down to the bottom (No matter the range), and start on the bottom and work from the edges and into the center 1 layer at the time. Will replace with cobblestone.
  3. Will only take lava that is connected to the block just below the fluid pump
  4. Will crash the server if 2 or more are placed near each other (Probably when the working area overlaps).

To setup (And troubleshoot):
  1. Set on land, ensuring it is reset (ie. no power inside). (Using Tesla Wrench you can turn it around, maybe it will reset if put wrongly first, on site.).
  2. Set just above a lava block, that is connected to lava on all sides+bottom. Important that it don't start yet. (Even 1 pump-iteration can break the area). Set it on Pause-mode, until ready, to make sure it doesn't.
  3. Add the range addon (Tesla SpeedI+II can be added now or later)
  4. Add power
  5. See that it is working, and add MechanicalPipes/Pipes/Conduits to pump into Tank/EnderTank
  6. WierdingGadget (Chunk-loader) will give server memory-leaks, and thereby crash. Use Mekanism Anchor(Loads 3x3 chunk, but still seems to work with range addons larger than 3x3 chunks) or similar instead. Ensure that all needed machinery for pumping is within the chunk-loaded area. (Use F7 to see chunks)
  7. If the block just below is not Lava (non-flowing-block), then it will stop working. If any Lava flowing blocks in area, it will stop working (ie having the column just below the Fluid pump been filled up, and mined down, will stop the Fluid pump when it reaches that block on the layer it is working on).
  8. Use Fire resistance potion and "lava-swimming" if you want to check/fix its work.
  9. Flowing lava can be seen on the surface, and then fixed. Flowing Lava beneath the surface, cannot be seen, but can be fixed if you know where it is.
  10. If you need to remove the equiment use Fire resistance potion and stand on top of the pump/tank/conduit and break the block, then there's a high chance it will not drop into lava, before you pick it up.
  11. Avoid building+breaking in the lava, as this will ensure no flowing lava.
  12. Also it seems when the lava is only 1 layer deep (the surface-layer) then flowing lava is no problem. The pump will then correctly replace all non-flowing lava and the flowing areas will then be left empty.

In the screenshots above, multiple of these guidelines seems to have been violated.

Br,
Michael
