Hi! I come here with another map! yay! I haven't even started work on it yet, but the map will be another FTB knockoff, but with a twist. I'm not ready to reveal the details yet, but I do have a story set in place.

Oh, and the [FTB] in the title is a genre label. This map is not made by the FTB team, not does it have any official recognition from the FTB team.

The year 1100. An age of scientific and technological progression. Mankind taking its creations and warping them into new, "better" things. Nobody cares about nature, and in fact go out of their way to exploit it, raping the forests and plains for all that they're worth, all in the name of progression and expansion. They're all just moving ever closer to their demise, as while the new technology saves lives, it also takes them. New, bigger, more powerful weapons of destruction are made every day. I honestly don't see the point. The earth already united under one nation 65 years ago. I guess mankind is just addicted to destruction. They have gotten so far that they've discovered a way to destroy bedrock!

I'm different. Instead of warping our beautiful planet to suit my needs, I have been researching nature, specifically the thaumaturgic parts, hoping to discover a way to save myself from the destruction that's soon to come, and I have. I've discovered a way to make stone that's stronger than bedrock, resistant to their weapons, that only I can break. I will make a bunker out of this powerful stone, so that even if they do manage to destroy the earth, I will remain.

The year 1135. The anniversary of world peace. Ironically, it's also the day that the earth burnt. I knew that this was coming, i tried to warn them, but they didn't listen. Those bastards didn't just destroy the earth, they destroyed the universe, through a rip in space and time. Through my research, I have discovered other life amongst the stars, but the idiots of earth killed them all. impossible amounts of life, just gone within a second.

I can reverse this tragedy. I have researched time manipulation, and I know what to do.

It is the year 1162, and I must build a time machine capable of bringing me back to the year 1043, to the discovery of the world's first Lapis bomb, and stop them from making this heinous mistake.

The map will be based around a time machine, using your knowledge of magic and hyper advanced technology to build it part-by-part, utilising everything from clocks to essence to build it.

As i said, I haven't even started on it yet, this is just the story behind it. One thing I will say is there will be no villagers in the map whatsoever. So tell me what you think!

Oh, and it will use DW20!

I started work on the map, and It's going to be very magical. You will start off with all the thaumcraft research, as you have spent all of your time separated from the rest of the world, researching nature. There will also be bits of the synthetic, automated. mainstream world scattered about. The main monument will be a Gco Complex Device Assembler, which will take a blueprint from the start of the map and ask for certain items for different parts of the time machine, for example there is the main chamber, which includes a seat, some food, some glass, etc, the time engine, which will use a timely bee, some temporal frames, and some apiary equipment, and the essence core, which will use a lot of essence vials. For the materials, as you build the machine, the Gco assembler will be able to craft spare parts with any leftover materials for different Gco Assemblers (a downgraded version of the Gco complex device assembler) which will be applied energistics systems that are completely self-reliant, and can be hooked up to a complete network. These systems must be unlocked with spare parts, though. The Gco assemblers will use a custom crafting system using item spawners to give them infinite stock. One example of this would be crafting one iron ingot with four rotten flesh to make copper, and with water containers to make tin. You start out with basic magical supplies and a Gco Stone Fabricator (igneous extruder) for some cobble for bridges. there will be an ending sequence when the time machine is complete.

Oh, i'm probably going to need a builder eventually, to build a large-looking city with a big industrial plant. I can't build for crap, so I am really going to need some major help with that. If you do build the city, it will be named after you and you will get all the credit you deserve.

Sounds cool, very interesting story as well. One question: If the entire universe is destroyed, how are you still alive?

I explained that:

Alright, got a bit done. I have the design set up for the simple Gco assemblers, set up to a button. This button toggles independent and dependant modes, as in if it's in independent mode, then you can access the terminal regardless of the main system, and if it is hooked up to the system, then the entire network will break until you toggle it again. It works just fine in either position on world startup, and the assembler's internal storage and crafting system become inaccessible if the required part is not inserted.

EDIT: actually, I'm just going to make it so that completing one task unlocks a new recipe in the main assembler. there will be several disk drives to accept spare parts.

It's a heavy WIP. I currently have the starting area done, and am working on the assembler, where you will store most of your items and also craft some unobtainable stuff, like nikolite, glowstone, redstone, lapis, etc.

Hi! I am interested in this project! I am willing to provide a small server to run this on if I can help...also will you make a co-op version of this?

Thx

Alright, I'm starting over from scratch in FTB unleashed, but it should be much quicker now that I have my recipe system completely computer-based and working in 1.5. Also, now that I know how to use interactive sorters, I can use them with ME dark cables to enable/disable recipes based on what components you have installed in the disk drives.

Even more, the vis node will be pure and exactly 1000 vis, no more, no less.
