FTB TechWorld2 - can't even make refined iron?

I cannot make refined iron, putting it in a furnace achieves nothing, and trying to craft an iron furnace also achieves nothing.

Have the recipes/methods changed, or is this genuinely broken?


P.S: Is there a wiki for TechWorld2?

in NEI, you can press R to enter recipe mode. it will show you how items are crafted, while pressing U will show you what the item can be used for

I tried that, pressing the keys show nothing if I search for Refined Iron.

you can also do it on the machine your trying to use refined iron to make. it will show you an alternate crafting recipe if one is available.
having just downloaded techworld2 to test this though, i see refined iron is there, but that its also listed in the ore dictionary with vanilla iron, meaning they should be interchangeable

There is no more refined Iron in IC2. It was replaced with either regular iron or iron plates.

Edit: Here is the change log in Industrial Craft Experimental that explains it.
