Windows .exe FTB Tech world won't start

Try removing the old java 6 and any other versions and update to the latest version from here.

You may have varying results trying to play the some of the 1.6 packs because they are designed to be played on a 64bit os. The FTB Lite 2 pack is for 32 bit systems.
