Ftb server with Jail, Faction and Realm plugins for MCPC?

Hi !

I'm in the process of making a private "FTB/PVP community" server to test my project and ideas I have.. The idea is to have 2 factions(2 teams), 2 realms(Border-Line), 30+ XP ranks and a prison on both sides(realms), for keeping hostages as prisoner and slaves..

But have a big problem, can't seem to find the right Jail, Faction, Realm, Economy, GoldenShovel, Rank and Essentials Admin plugins for FTB ultimate, that will fit MinecraftForge... i have tried ForgeEssentials but has no real grief protection from enemy or other team players, ANYBODY with access to the world, has access to other players chests.. It would be nice to have a "safePlace" or in other words, a Faction/Realm Fortress for both sides as there holly place..

My only hope of making this work is to use MCPC that will make a variety plugins for Bukkit compatible with Forge..
Like GreifProtection, Faction, Jail, Realms, teleport, basic admin tools, Etc..

So, It would be nice with some help and cool ideas for my project? Maybe you are a BIG FTB fan like my and likes to play PVP, then join my project and share your dreams..!

Hello again

MCPC+ does work with ultimate I run it myself, and yes it will make a good percentage of bukkit plugins work. I find that MCPC+ fixes issues so fast that when they arrise i usually can find an updated version to address them but with all things bukkit/forge related its still not complete so bar that in mind.

All you need to to is replace your ftbserver.jar with the latest version for 1.4.7 and change you startup shell or batch file you can then drop your plugins in the plugin folder.

Im personally using Essentials and Group Managerto manage my permissions and CoreProtect for logging EVERYTHING (has an amazing rollback feature) ProtectionStones to allow users ot protect their own areas (instead of me doing it with worldedit and worldguard) and SecureChests to allow locking of custom blocks, that gave me a solid foundation to add other stuff to.

Best way to learn all this is to dig in and find the plugins that suit you, good thing about bukkit theres usually a few plugins to choose from to do something.

Nice! That was exactly the answer i was in need for ! yes i do keep in mind that there are a possibility of some plugins from Bukkit not working properly MCPC+ but i'm very glade to hear that MCPC+ team are taking it so serious in terms of updating there builds, it gives me some hope back for my project, and that i haven't had for a long time now.. because it was extremely hard to find info about anybody using MCPC+ and even the trouble just to find MCPC+ via google was horribly bad, always ended up looking at "ForgeEssentials" just nothing related to Forge plugins when using MCPC+, So this was best answer possibly could give me Thx!!!

By the way.. Are there no real list of compatible plugins for MCPC+ ? - It would be cool to make a list of the all the compatible plugins for MCPC+ .. Maybe collect some info by making a topic for players to post there list of plugins, they use for there server on the different sites.. Do you have you personal top 5 forum's you would spare me ? heh yes i know use "google", but i want solid info

I like minecraftforum and planetminecraft as the to big forum sites with allot of cool members with and with allot of cool stuff, (and of course the FTB forum, for being some of the MOST helpfull sites i have joined, with properly the most solid info, when referring to Forge and FTB..! ) but there must be a more private community to join and who really dedicate them self to the minecraft community and who have there own server, without mods and all that stuff... ?

In terms of what plugins are compatible, pretty much all of them from:

http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/

so get on there search by category and go nuts, youll find the ones that dont work are usually due to buggy code rather than incompatibility with forge.

Ive stated the ones i use above but a good 95% of every other plugin ive tried has worked at least partly and the ones that didnt were not due to forge incompatibility but rather due to buggy code. So trial and expermination are your friends here. enjoy!

I have made the batch file but can't seem to find it in my "/minecraft" directory.. ?

The batch file should be in the same directory as your server jar it ends .bat

I did put the batch file where the server.jar was.. but found out it fails when i try to upload the .bat file...

But a weird thing is, on Github they says you need to run the .bat file (on my computer) by double clicking, but rest makes no sens at all, i'm very confused right now..
