Hello Everyone, and yes i know what your thinking another nub is starting a server and cant get it to run outside his own LAN.

i know shame on me.

First off after going though 500 forum post about this, all having the same basic setup and trouble shooting i have tried every thing to get this running and was hoping there might be someone here that can think of something i missed.

First off Minecraft server is running on port 25565 (default) with no ip listed in the server.properties file (default).

I have an Amped wireless router - port forwardining on this is super simple.
port has been forward for the correct computer. (Static) ipv4

The server computer is running windows 7 - Firewall disabled - no antivirus

i tethered my cell phone to my laptop so i was testing it with an outside IP and i can't seem to reach my server - i was using my public / external ip address

internal with my other lan computers using my internal IP connection is fine

using website port checkers (many) it states the port is good and checking my server logs i can see the site have a temp connection to the server (so i can see something coming though)

I have also tried putting the server computer inside my routers DMZ so there is no firewall protecting it at all and still having issues connecting with an external IP

Also set up a trial for dyndns to see if that would change anything. - nope

My Provider does not have me on a static ip however this ip will only change if i reboot my modem (otherwise it will stay the same until power loss) i do monitor this carefully.

Any thing i may have missed checking or over looked please let me know. to the best of my knowledge this is setup correctly.

PS i have also tried using a different port number like 25564 25560 21554 ect

Java - is current and correct edition
