FTB Revelation: Tesselation Crash

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title FTB Revelation: Tesselation Crash

Launcher Type Twitch Desktop App

Modpack FTB Revelation

Modpack version 1.3.0

Have you modified the pack? No

Link to log file http://paste.feed-the-beast.com/view/953fddd2

Details of the issue I've been playing the modpack just fine for a few days. After a day or two suddenly the apples I would harvest from Pam's Harvestcraft Apple Trees became untextured blocks with filenames instead of item names; yet for some reason the apples in my chest that I had picked before that were fine. The latest issue happened last night/this morning; I was messing with the Roots 2 Staff, trying to figure out how to put a spell into the item when suddenly the game crashed and I'm brought back to the launch screen with this error:

Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: Tesselating block in world

Please tell me there is an easy fix that doesn't require me to reset my world; I'm already decently far into Roots and Astral Sorcery and I don't want to lose all of that progress.

Roll back to a previous backup of your world, or try MCEdit and remove this block:
Block location: World: (-60,64,270)

Remember to save before exiting MCEdit (and perhaps do a manual backup before editing)

Post new log if it still fails.

Ok, so this is a solo world; so I just loaded up a previous backup. I went to the area where it says the tesselation error occured as noted above (x:-60, y:64, z:270) and it turns out the issue was with the staff itself because the area where that is turns out to be the crafting table that I was using at the time to try to imbue the Roots 2 Staff with a spell. So I guess for now I'll have to wait on my Roots 2 progression until it's stabilized or updated. Thanks for your help.
