Look for

backups {
# Timer in hours.
# 1.0 - backups every hour
# 6.0 - backups every 6 hours
# 0.5 - backups every 30 minutes
# Min: 0.05
# Max: 600.0

----

Very odd as default setting should be saving. Look for folder called backups inside minecraft folder.

I run FTB minecraft on server so I change some of the setting

# I hate redoing stuff.. so save every 30 mins
D:backup_timer=0.5

# backup backup backup...nothing suck then having go back few backups because something went wrong. I had to do that once in this pack..
I:backups_to_keep=48

# Who doesn't like saving space..need ok server for this..
I:compression_level=9

# Change default location where my backup software is watching. Much simpler to change FTB backup location than my backup software..
S:folder=/<some-location>/FTBRevelation-2_4_1

Warning if your map is big needs changes these setting

If on multiverse you can just change the settings on multiverse itself. Go to the left side tab, Advanced drop down options, schedule tasks, new task, command to save world.
