@Ashzification Here are the logs you requested.

http://pastebin.com/ADwTHCKk

So here's the deal that I've been putting up with, one that I've NEVER had to deal with on my old laptop... Instead, on my older laptop all it was was memory heaps and such which this makes look like a pushover.

On occasion, the game will crash with that sort of pastebin error message. Note that despite what mod it may or may not be pointing to, it's completely randomized.

To make matters worse, these crashes are ALSO SOMETIMES involved with this sort of error:

https://forums.geforce.com/default/...-tdr-errors-display-driver-nvlddmkm-stopped-/

Except it reads as Windows Kernel Display Driver instead. Again, must emphasize that the crash only occurs sometimes with the display driver reset.

This is where his Java was installing to:
CLASSPATH=.;C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem\QTJava.zip

I've never seen the error in the pastebin above.
I'll do some poking around, but I'm not sure on this one.

However, it appears Optimus... doesn't play well along with Minecraft.

So, there's still a problem. I've got an MSI GP70-027US, with windows 7 home premium.

Unlike most laptops, I cannot disable Optimus, even though I set minecraft to run through an NVidia card via the Nvidia control panel...

Does anyone else have Optimus running and get this crash often? If not, I'm thinking this new laptop may need a warranty. I've even rolled back to the original manufacturer installed graphics driver but that didn't seem to cut it as well.

Have you updated windows as per the information in that thread? If you laptop has service pack 1 installed then it should have the fixes.

Edit: Just noticed that thread is mentioning vista and if it is a new laptop it will be windows 8 you will have.
