FTB Monster - Removing Taint from land as admin

I created a new server with FTB Monster and Biomes O' Plenty and accidently got some tainted chunks near spawn. After a few hours I realized they would pose a problem so I spent a lot of time planting ethereal blooms around the place to get rid of it.

After a couple of hours I got rid of all the initial tainted chunks, but the problem now is the tainted sheep
The damn sheep of hell. They spawn randomly all around and instead of eating grass, they spew up new taint, so now there's a swarm of single blocks spread out all over the starting area and beyond.

Can someone tell me a good way to just eradicate all the taint in one go so we at least get a clean start?
Can i maybe deactivate taint in the config files, reload the server so all the tainted land gets erased, then activate the taint again so that you still have to deal with the consequences of Thaumcraft?

Stop the server. Disable Thaumcraft. Start the server. Taint gone! Stop the server. Enable Thaumcraft. Start the server.

This has the unfortunate side effect of everything Thaumcraft related disappearing from the world (including any research done), and I don't recall if it has built-in retrogen for everything, so this is really a last resort option, but it's also the only "in one go" option.

This won't work, as the config options only have a way to disable the spread of the taint via its natural growth methods, not a way to eradicate it completely.

For a more tedious, but in my opinion better, way is to fly around in creative and place ethereal blooms on each of the tiny splotches of taint, and eradicating the tainted chunks with a staggered grid of ethereal blooms (they remove taint up to 8 blocks away in a diamond shape, so keep that in mind when placing them). Also, don't forget to locate any tainted nodes that might be in the area and destroy them as well.

This will have the side effect of creating splotches of magical forest biomes around the area, but I think that would probably be preferable to taint biomes.

This is basically what I've been doing. It annoys me to hell how the tainted sheep appear and puke up new taint though. The sheep are the only problem right now.
If I instead could deactivate tainted sheep that would probably me marvellous.

I think that it's absolutely ridiculous that there's no config added for removing taint from the world. Personally, as a server administrator, I find it to be the biggest pain of most things.
