I have been playing the mod pack on my laptop for some time now. But as soon as i start up mine craft, my laptop becomes extremely hot. Is there any way to reduce that? And I would like to continue play the same mod pack :) thanks, also will it be harmful to my computer?

That's because your processor and video card are outputting waste heat. The only way to reduce that is get better components which is not possible in a laptop or design a custom cooling solution which isn't possible unless you happen to have access to a CNC machine.

Provided the temps are under 90C it shouldn't be harmful but if temps get truly dangerous the laptop will shut itself off.
