Whenever I open up FTB monster, it takes ages to load then it just disappears. I can't upload the log to pastebin since the console just goes away with the launcher.

Yeah, you need a MINIMUM of 2 gigs with 64-bit Java. That's why it won't load.
No, any way to play Monster? I can play every other pack. I have the urge to play monster though.
Sorry, but you are out of luck unless you install a 64 bit OS. :/
You'll have to allocate 2 gigs of RAM and have 64-bit Java. There's nothing else (that I know of) that will allow you to run it without that.
Java-32 is hardcoded to never go beyond 1GB of RAM. Monster simply cannot load on 1GB.
I had a couple of players still running XP on a 64-bit capable processor (*rolls eyes*) that were forced to switch to Windows 7/8 x64 in order to play when we switched to Monster.
