We had a Resurrection server (4-10 players) when the pack was first released. I'm not sure why, but it felt unfinished to me. Granted, I was the only one on the server to make it out of the Bronze Age before the majority voted to switch to Infinity, so the late game was never fully explored, but there didn't seem to be anything "final tier" that I could put my finger on.
Don't get me wrong, I miss that world, as having a GT5 backbone forced me to rely on TC4, which I struggle to get into on kitchen sink packs. I learned a ton about a great mod (plus some new tricks with mods I was familiar with), and my base actually looked decent for once (not just a cube cave like I had been notorious for previously). I loved the GT5 ore distribution, although having 27 different ores that process down to iron did seem a bit redundant (I know, the byproduct is different for each, but still).
My biggest complaint with Resurrection is that I feel like I owned the vacant caves they called the nether. I walked in there, fearing nothing, and made it my bitch. In Infinity, I had a sense of fear regarding the Nether up until my late game armor was buffed out and I had creative flight. Between BoP, Witchery, and others, the Nether is dangerous in Infinity - something I felt about Resurrection only upon my first trip in.
All this was many updates ago, and this is in no way meant to dissuade you. Just a bored ramble. Have fun.
