I will be working on creating a FTB Lite compatible Survival Games Map. It will be just the map and servers will need to be made for it. I will work on making it compatible with other mod packs and then plugin free. I have some pictures of the starting area, but for some reason I can't upload them without an error occurring.
 
I plan to have all the weapons from other mods in it, also the buildings will be made of the many new building materials. There will be stuff from thaumcraft. The weapons from Industrial craft will have to be charged, so you'll have to find a charging bench. You will be able to get ores in chests, which you can macerate or cook into ingots or items to craft tools. I plan to have a very strange technical landscape.
 
It would have to be larger than 256x256 because you would have to have a ton of machines in the landscape, and they wouldn't all fit in a 256x256 space without the players killing each other before their machines are done. Maybe a diameter similar to Vareide's maps? But that has it's drawbacks too, such as the Games taking hours.
 
Well, see I wasnt planning on having people just be able to build machines, they would have to find machines already placed in the world. Basically its going to be a square with a side length of 384. When you actually look at it, 256x256 is actually pretty small, a lot smaller than variede's maps. This first version will be a very basic arena just like the first survival games vanilla edition. It will be a large forest, but i am going to seperate into quadrants, like forestry trees one way, magical aspects and trees another way, a factory another, and a mine the other way, but its still subject to change, and I am open to suggestions.
 
Are you putting this on a server now so people can help? (Whitelisted, of course!)
Also, maybe 512x512? You said 256x256 wasn't big enough!
 
I decided 384x384, um about the server, maybe it really depends. I probably wont be able to give anyone much other than credit.[DOUBLEPOST=1361489752][/DOUBLEPOST]512x512 would just cause the matches to take a long time, which isnt ever fun for the people who die in the first 30 seconds. I think that 384x384 is the good middle ground. If you would be interested in helping, PM me, if I get enough responds, I might think about a server
