Operating System, bit type: Windows 7 64 bit
Java version/update, bit type: JRE 8 Beta, 64 Bit (I can't install any other, because JRE 7 generates some troubles on my OS (Asked java support))
Launcher version: Latest, 1.3.1
Completed the troubleshooting guide (y/n): y
Console log, pastebin.com link: http://pastebin.com/vxFreYt5
Description of the issue: Nothing is happening, absolute nothing. Waiting around 30 mins.

The last row in the pastebin link is colored yellow.

Thanks for help

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option PermSize=128m; support was removed in 8.0
You are using Java 8. As you can see the launcher does not support java 8 very well. Some users can use Java 8, but it is recommended that you use Java 7.

Operating System, bit type: Ubuntu Linux, 64 bit
Java version/update, bit type: Java 7 JDK 7u45 64 bit (there's a JRE included inside the JDK and it is the EXACT SAME as the separate download. 7u45)
Launcher version: 1.3.1
Completed the troubleshooting guide (y/n): y
Console log, pastebin.com link: http://pastebin.com/tpUYwE4T
Description of the issue: The pack loads up to the singleplayer screen. When I go to create a new world, it instantly stops and crashes. This is also happening for all of the other 1.6 modpacks.

I have this same problem and so far no one has been of any help! Sad that I can't play the new FTB, it seems like they really only care about PC users. :/

Try it with the jre without the jdk installed and see if you get the same error.

Can you please post in the format provided instead of saying it is the same. It might help us find a cause for the error with more we can find things you have in common and eliminate things you do not.

Tried it with ONlY the jre and got 2 results:
1) The error was NOT resolved (http://pastebin.com/LqZ5AsZE)
2) Eclipse no longer works
The bouncycastle libraries (which is what the error is about) are used by vanilla minecraft's internal server... But looking in the libraries folder of FTB revealed that the files were nonexistent... MAYBE the file/class not being downloaded by FTB would cause this error?
