Title:
FTB launcher won't open on Windows 10
Launcher Version:
Most recent (don't know the number)
Modpack:
None
Modpack Version:
None
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
After downloading FTB launcher on windows 10, it will not open at all. It works fine on 8.1, but not 10. In fact, I can't even view the properties on it. If I go rightclick>properties it doesn't open the menu.
No log is created.

EDIT: After some testing, the launcher opens about
15 minutes after I click on it.

I've had a similar problem, just upgraded to Windows 10 and when I open the launcher, I'm notified saying that Java SE Binary is not working and the launcher closes. I had no problems with the launcher on Win8.1

Probably a java fuckup, what version of java does Win10 come with. Or does the upgrade keep all that previous java stuff?

The version of Java from the previous Windows you owned is still installed. I haven't found a Win10 upgrade.

Just upgraded to Windows 10, installed newest Java 8 64 bit (I wanted 7 but would have had to make an Oracle account), and FTB Launcher works perfectly fine and I've even played FTB Infinity for a bit. Although I did do a clean install of 8.1 before upgrading.

I changed my version of Java and the launcher is now up and running :) I downloaded Java SE Runtime Environment 8 for Windows 64-bit and the FTB launcher opened with no problems.
