FTB Launcher won't open after clicking on shortcut icon

Details of the issue:
After turning on my laptop and wanting to play some Minecraft with some friends, I went to open the FTB launcher, to no avail. After clicking on the icon it flashed the little rotating circle curser, then it went away, and nothing happened. I tried it again with the Task Manager open, and that showed that it was not being executed. Help?​
