FTB Launcher not launching upon update

If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Details of the issue:
FTB Launcher will not even open up after updating to latest version. Has worked fine for months, however yesterday when the update popped up then launcher won't even open at all when launching the .exe. Complete reinstall failed to get it working, have wiped ALL files including the local & roaming, and removed my saves to a different HDD to reinstall. Same error occurs. having to use MultiMC to play atm.​
