Hey all,
I have some issues with my server and I am hoping to get some help from you guys.
I am running a FTB server (Monsterpack v1.0.5) with no extra mods on a dedicated machine (not a virtual box).
The machine has the following specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40 GHz
RAM: 32 GB
Storage: SSD 240 GB (Raid 1 config)
Bandwidth: 200+ MBit
OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
I have allocated 16 GB to the FTB server and we are currently about 8 people on the server. We are all playing survival (so no flying, no worldedit, etc - normal gameplay).
Now my problem is that the server starts having lag spikes and sometimes fails to load chunks. It's not unplayable by any means, but even these occasional lag spikes makes me concerned.
When I took a look at the task manager the server was using 10.8 GB!!! I have also noticed that the RAM usage seems to go up all the time - it doesn't stop increasing.
This post took me about 10 minutes to write, and RAM has gone up another 300 MB since...
Current RAM and CPU usage is 60% and 30% respectively.
What's going on, and is there a way to fix this?
Cheers.
