FTB infinity v2.0.2 Agricraft setting changes don't take effect

Details of the issue:
Whenever I change the config file of Agricraft (to disable weeds, change farming difficulty, number of crop sticks per craft, etc.) none of the changes actually take effect in the game. I've tried editing it directly, as well as through the in game interface, but while the file shows the correct settings they aren't implemented.​
