Why the f do you think I set the quarry up there genius?

It has approximately half the spawn rate of diamondand only slightly more common than draconium. That is a rare spawn, yes it's still easy to get a bunch. Doesn't change the fact that it is a rare spawn chance.

And for the next poster, shinys only use is not enderium, And 170 blocks is nnothing...
 
Curious, before this gets out of hand, how hard would the bee method be of getting shiny? Also, is the Ender Quarry a valid mining method? I've never heard of it.

Bees, from my understanding, are easy. Just takes a lot of understanding, and a lot of patience.

I looked up some videos on it, but they are from 2013, so I have to assume some things have changed since then, correct?

Depends what modpack you're using?

Watch a tutorial on gendustry, it'll make everything 1000x times easier than Binnie's Genetics or "vanilla" forestry breeding.

Once you get your head around the mechanics it's not difficult and with gendustry not that time consuming either.

I did all my bees using Binnie's Genetics, altho I'm sure you're correct about Gendustry being much easier and quicker. The time-consuming part about Binnie's is trying to collect all the species genes via the Isolator. Sometimes it can take a few hours to get a species gene off a new cross-breed, but once I have it, then I'm all set. Just make a "super bee" with all the best traits and use that bee for all cross-breeding so it goes quickly and perfectly.
 
Ender Quarry -> Ferrous Ore and Gold Ore
Pulverize the Gold Ore to get a decent chance of Cinnabar
Put Ferrous + Cinnabar into Induction Smelter to get 3 Ferrous + 1 Shiny guaranteed (secondary chance upgrades will net an average of 1.8 Shiny)

MFR Mining Lasers with Cyan focus get shiny ore
