Title [FTB Infinity Lite] Problems joining servers

Details of the issue First of, I'm playing on a fairly low-spec laptop, but single player works completely fine on decent settings.
Now the problem: i try joining a server, first everything looks normal, I get the "Logging in" message and I see the world rendering. But then the mouse cursor comes back, the screen turns brown again and after a few seconds I get the "Disconnected" message. It doesn't give a reason why and I couldn't find any obvious errors in the log. I also trid reinstalling the pack and the launcher.
