FTB Infinity Lite 1.10 Oregen (Lapis)

Hey all. Having fun in 1.10. Just getting started and I've kinda hit a snag. I can't find Lapis. I've run strip mining 3x3 halls at y level 5-7, 14-16, and 20-22. I've found at least a dozen diamond veins. I only happened across 1 Lapis vein, I think, in a mine shaft between y20-22. I honestly can't remember exactly where I got those lapis, but it's all i've gotten so far. I haven't found any while actively mining for it. JEI says lapis should be most prevalent in y14-16. I ran most of my strip mining on those levels, mostly clearing 30 chunks at y14-16. Not a single Lapis vein in those 30 chunks. is JEI wrong? Is lapis more abundant at a different level? Does it not spawn in certain biomes now? Thanks.

I pretty much had the same problem, but ended up finding plenty a little bit higher - even up to level 30. Not a scientific answer though

Hmmm. I was wondering about strip mining at ~25. I ran 2 tester tunnels and came up empty, so I assumed it wasn't there either, lol. Guess I'll run some more. Thanks for responding. I am on the verge of loading it up in a world editor to see exactly where it is. Is there a way to see it in the config files though? I have so many diamond veins waiting to be mined.

Not at my game pc right now, but I think it's called orespawn.cfg in the config folder.
