  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Details of the issue:
Hello everyone! I'm currently experimenting something unusual with the latest Infinity Evolved modpack.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
12gig RAM DDR5

I just install back FTB and I wanted to play the infinity evolved pack but I can simply not. Each time I get into the game, I have around 15-20 fps. I allocated around 5gig RAM to the game and installed optifine, yet it's not solving the problem. I also disabled Journey map to help the process but it doesn't seem to work at all. Any other solutions I could try? Thank you!

Try giving it less RAM, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I've read that java begins to fail its garbage collection when it's given a lot of RAM to work with. This may have only been with Java 7 but try reducing your RAM to 3GB and see if it makes any difference.

I will try this right now and see if it solve the problem. I really don't know what is causing this. I didn't had any problem playing with any pack in the past and now I am completely clueless about this. I will give a feedback as soon as the game is launching (Loading this pack take quite a while, hahaha_

After all, it is worst. I am having around 10-12 fps with 3gig RAM allocated.....

Usually going over 4gigs of RAM causes issues. Check your Nvidia control panel that Java is using your nvidia card and not the integrated one.

I am still trying to figure out what is the problem. I didn't had problem at all playing Direwolf 20 or previous pack in the past. I don't know what is causing this trouble.

Quick update......I tried to play with vanilla minecraft, same issue. 1-2 fps at start, chunk don't load or take ages to load.....I don't know what the hell is up, I mean, I can play games like Black Desert Online without problem, but as soon as I start FTB or Vanilla Minecraft, everything is fucking up. Even my other applications are slowed by this. I really don't know what might cause the trouble, but it's now getting on my nerves.
